Prerequisite: Dogs must have a good recall, sit and stay command. It is highly recommended that you successfully complete a Beginner Obedience Class to enroll in the beginning agility class. Other classes may have other prerequisites.

We will be working on short sequence obstacles, using distance techniques and progressing as each dog is ready. We will work on teaching our dog directions with clarity. Consistent commands, teaching the dog to drive with confidence and introducing handling techniques. If you’re doing agility to have fun with your dog or heading towards competition, this class is for you!

Pre-Requisites
Dogs must be proficient on all obstacles (excluding weave poles) to include contacts, and have good wait and recall commands. Prior completion of Beginning and Intermediate Agility classes is recommended.
Class Description
This class will teach the basics of distance handling, the whys and hows of sending your dog through portions of the agility course ahead of you. We will also work on front crosses, rear crosses and blind crosses. Tips for running a smooth course using handler positioning, and more verbal cues. Individual instruction consistent with each dog’s ability and level.

Drop-in Agility Class
Beginning Weavers
Class Description
The beginning weavers class is designed to help your dog weave independently. The focus will be on weave entry and building value for weaving for your dog using 2×2’s. The instruction will also help the handler so that your dog will not need to be “babysat” through the weave poles. This class will be taught in four 1 hour 15 minute class sessions.
Pre-requisites
Dogs need to be able to sit and stay so that the handler can be 6-10 feet away. Handler needs to be committed to working with dog daily on the homework given.
