Class Description
This class will focus on basic, fundamental skills (for you and your dog) that set you up to be successful in the fun sport of Dog Agility. This is a foundational class. The goal is to develop handling practices and skills that can grow into great obstacle and course performance in future classes. Introduction to several obstacles will be taught, however full height jumps, contact obstacles (teeter, dog-walk, A Frame), or weaves are not part of the foundation class. Skills are taught using positive training techniques and games aimed at building you and your dog’s confidence while growing and learning as a team.

Class Description
This class will be for the introduction of agility which will provide both handler and dog the fundamentals of each apparatus to be exercised correctly and safely. At the end of this class each will have a good understanding of the sport and have a good foundation to continue in Agility- even to the competition level!

Agility Level II
The Details
When: Class will be held twice weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Sept 21 and 23, 28 and 30, Oct 5 and 7.

Pre-Requisites
1) Dogs must have successfully completed a beginning agility class.
2) Dogs must have been introduced to contact obstacles.
3) No aggressive or dog-reactive dogs for safety reasons. Dogs will be working individually, so crates are mandatory.
Class Description
This class will focus on performing off-leash sequences and handler techniques. Students will work on body position/location of obstacles, hands, feet, and verbal commands. Dogs progress at different levels, so this class will be individualized for your dog, challenging but not setting them up for failure.
Class Skills
Start line waits and lead outs; contacts, running or 2 on/2 off. Front, rear and blind crosses and when to use them. Walking the course and planning a route that best suits you and your dog. And above all, having a fun and bonding experience with your dog!

- Ability to perform all obstacles off-leash
- Dogs should be comfortable on full height contacts, and have a solid beginning with weave poles.
- It is highly recommended that you have successfully completed an Intermediate or Agility II Class
Class Description
Advanced Agility Class will expand on what you and your dog have learned in an Intermediate or Agility II class. The goal for you and your dog is to increase your communication skills with each other, and be able to maneuver through obstacles with skill and confidence. Handlers will be introduced to more handling skills, and finding better ways to communicate with your dog. Agility organizations and agility trial rules will be introduced. The goal as always, is to Have Fun and Learn with your dog! Hopefully you too will consider competing in agility trials with your dog.

AGILITY HANDLING TECHNIQUES

Pre-Requisites
Dogs must be proficient on all obstacles (excluding weave poles) to include contacts, and have good wait and recall commands. Prior completion of Beginning and Intermediate Agility classes is recommended.
Class Description
This class will teach the basics of distance handling, the whys and hows of sending your dog through portions of the agility course ahead of you. We will also work on front crosses, rear crosses and blind crosses. Tips for running a smooth course using handler positioning, and more verbal cues. Individual instruction consistent with each dog’s ability and level.

Class Description
This class will be for the beginner/intermediate dogs who know the obstacles and just want to further their training. We will be working on contacts, jumps, short sequences, etc. Attendees need not come every week – the punch card buys 6 weeks, over a 9-week period.
